About

Serrinha is a regenerative farm in the heart of the Alentejo, guided by the belief that agriculture works best when it supports the natural systems around it. Our vision is to cultivate a landscape where each element, including soil, water, plants, animals, and people, plays a role in sustaining the whole.

The farm brings together diverse practices, from olive groves to pasture-raised cattle, with the goal of creating a balanced and resilient ecosystem. Rather than treating these activities as separate, we see them as interconnected parts of a living environment. When managed thoughtfully, they reinforce one another. Animals enrich the soil, trees provide shade and structure, and healthy land yields food of exceptional quality.

Our approach is rooted in regeneration and stewardship. We aim to restore the vitality of the land by working with the rhythms of nature rather than against them. Native species are protected and encouraged, while other plants and animals are introduced only where they can thrive and contribute to the broader ecosystem.

In this way, Serrinha seeks to reconnect agriculture with the natural equilibrium of healthy landscapes. It is a practice that is both attentive and restrained, hands-on in its care for the land while also allowing the ecosystem to evolve and flourish in a natural way.
